“PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST: EXPLORING THE WORKS OF HENRY O. TANNER”
February 23, 6:00 p.m.
Co-Sponsored by the College of Arts and Architecture
Learn about Henry Ossawa Tanner, an influential African American artist who countered American popular culture stereotypes through his work. Associate Professor of Art Joyce Henri Robinson will discuss Tanner’s paintings and his influence on American art. The reception and program include access to the museum’s special exhibit of Tanner’s works.
